Yes, very much so! But I'm trying to contain my excitement and wait for the Verizon version of the Palm Pre.

GIVE UP ON TEH PRE. Unless you have binoculars for eyes, the smaller screen is a real deal breaker. Oh yea, the calendar takes about 15 secs to update as well.... better keep that "card" open all the time.
Now the droid series... I'm paying serios attention to this.

Re: Motorola's DROID Does Plenty the iPhone Can't
Droid is going to be pretty impressive... not excited about the network it'll be on, so its probably a pass for me.
And a second on skipping the Pre... every Pre owner I know says they should have bought an iPhone instead.

looking at the video at the bottom of this slashgear article, it looks like this is going to be one seriously cool phone.
I'm very excited to hear about it after it has been out for a few months.

Re: Motorola's DROID Does Plenty the iPhone Can't
It's not that I want to destroy my iPhone. I just don't want it to exist anymore. I am ECSTATIC to see that's it's finally getting some decent competition. I hope these Droid phones live up to the hype.
These ARE the Droids you're looking for.

Ya, kind of odd that they tout 16GB above (with a 32GB extension available), but don't allow storage of apps in that space. The ROM on board only allows 256MB of it to be used for apps. WTF?!?

my guess is paid apps and piracy. if the apps are on a removable card, they can be shared easily. and even if they're protected in some way, the medium itself is removable... all the time in the world to look for a solution to that.Sabre wrote:Ya, kind of odd that they tout 16GB above (with a 32GB extension available), but don't allow storage of apps in that space. apple really is an incredibly smart design house. keeping everything "inside the box" was a brilliant idea. it's helped them stave off many problems that way.
