Weelllll... not exactly. But there are eery similarities to that video of a GTI fire that made the rounds on teh innArwebn3ts a few years ago. In that one I think an oil line (located right above the turbo) leaked and the spill ignited.
But in this Autoblog story the guy's car was parked for six hours so I can't imagine an oil leak caught fire.

different situation: that was a modified VW that caught fire while being driven and was a turbo I4. The R32 uses an NA V6.
I like VW's but man their quality has taken a hit in the past few years...
