wish they could get it down to $900, that would really help me justify it to myself.

lazy question: will they run XP well enough? yeah, I'm only interested in dual booting...

EDIT: you have to pony up $1500 to get it in black? that's teh uber-lam3.

XP runs great on my MBP... You should be fine. I'll admit, it is nice to have both OSes at my disposal. With a reboot time of ~20 secs it's not an issue at all

There is an evil side of me that wants to run both at the same time... Maybe Xen can help... but that would require ALOT of hacking... <yoda> succeed I will </yoda>. Now someone go buy me one so I can do it!

after running some benchmarks on the mac book... all i can say is wow.. whlie the new mac book pro is still a bit dicey (apple has to iron out some issues with overheating and such) the new line of laptops are simply incredible... running just about as fast as my dual-proc PowerMac G5....

and another benchmark result.. windows runs better and faster on a mac than it does on a windows machine.. go figure
